Lis Pov (Paul Ly), the first Hmong ever to arrange Hmong Songs using modern instruments. He is also the song writer for all of "Nkauj Hmoob Original" songs. For all the "Nkauj Hmoob Original" songs, Lee Pao writes all the lyrics and also composes them too.
He started to write songs at the age of 20, while still in his college years. Two of his top hits that he wrote includes "Nkauj Hmoob Siab Dub" in 1971, and also "Ntuj No Tuaj Lawm". For all the people that knows him, they regard his one of the "Living Legends" in Hmong Music.
Lee Pao is known for being the only professional song writer that Hmong Music producing companies buys composed pieces from. For Example:
Asian Music Co. bought the whole album of "Nkauj Hmoob Siab Dub" in 1992.
ST Universal bought the whole album of "Dej Ntws Tsis Rov Qab" in 1995.
Moon Light Productions bought whole album of "Ntuj Tsaug" in 1996.
